Tool Zino started as a weekend project to fix one annoyance: too many "free tool" sites buried behind ads, pop-ups and forced sign-ups. We're building the opposite.
We kept bookmarking a different site for every small task — one for word counts, another for BMI, a third for JSON. Most were slow, cluttered with ads, or asked for an account just to convert a currency.
So we started building Tool Zino: one clean, fast home for the utilities people reach for every day — no sign-up, no clutter, nothing tracked that doesn't need to be.
Every new tool that ships on Tool Zino has to pass all four of these before it goes live.
No premium tier, no paywalled features. Every tool stays free for everyone.
Lightweight pages, no bloated scripts — most tools work instantly, in-browser.
Most tools process your data client-side — nothing is uploaded unless it has to be.
No sign-up walls. Open a tool, use it, close the tab — that's the whole flow.
A quick look at where Tool Zino has been — and where it's headed next.
Tired of ad-heavy tool sites, we sketched the first version of Tool Zino as a personal utility page.
Text, calculator, converter and developer tools went live — all running client-side, no back-end required.
Image Compressor and Color Converter joined the lineup, expanding beyond text and numbers.
We're adding new tools every week on the road to adding more free utilities in one place.
Tool Zino is built and maintained by a small indie team who use these tools daily too.
